PolyCom Reveals Mobile Tool For Apple iPad 2
Polycom The worldwide market leader in social communication, which branches into areas such as video conferencing for businesses, data and web communications. Has recently released an application for the iPad 2, Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 which utilises the cameras to allow for high-quality video conferencing, wirelessly between all the tablet devices, running a point to point conversation.
The app itself is called RealPresence Mobile, and is completely free from the Apple Appstore, Android store and available to download on all tablet devices mentioned, ie iPad 2.
Although customers of Polycom who use their services, can register their devices, or applications to enable them access to an additional expansion of what the original, free iPad 2 app for example, has. This includes features such as content sharing alongside instant access to call directories.
The RealPresence Mobile app is compatible on VPN networks, allowing business users the ability to join company conferences over Wifi and 3G almost instantaneously, wherever they are.
Polycom, has realised a fundamental need for such a product, especially as there is rapid growth of tablets in use in the workplace. Therefore, an app like this would allow complete flexibility and utilise the modern age technology in a more productive way. Polycoms first release was on a specifically built Galaxy Tab 7″, which was put on show at the Mobile World Congress, which automatically had an astounding response. This then converted to a massive influx of demand for the product, which hinged the recent developments, with Polycom developers working to make the app as simple as possible to use.
And now, they feel they have reached the stage to release it globally, ensuring its a completely free iPad 2 app, alongside other market competitors.
